The Supervisory Physician will oversee the planning and organization of medical and pharmaceutical operations and ensures implemented processes and procedures are in compliance with laws, regulations, mandates, statutes. Serving as the OWCP authority for the Agency's medical and pharmacy bill processing/provider network and PBM operations, they will have overall responsibility for directing highly complex projects and employs strategic planning methods and technical advisory services through discussion of overall and specific problems with senior executives and Program managers. OWCP administers four major disability compensation programs that provide wage replacement benefits, medical treatment, vocational rehabilitation and other benefits to certain workers or their dependents who experience work-related injury or occupational disease. These programs serve the specific employee groups who are covered under the relevant statutes and regulations by mitigating the financial burden resulting from workplace injury include the Energy Workers, Federal Employees' Longshore and Harbor Workers', and Coal Mine Workers'.
